Udupi: Glowinstar Integrated School celebrates 78th Independence day with patriotism

Udupi, Aug 16 : Professor Dr Prithviraj Puranik of SDM Ayurvedic College, Udupi, emphasized that every Indian, regardless of caste or religion, should strive for the nation's development. He stated that the Tricolor flag should proudly fly in every home and that advancements in our military and agricultural sectors are crucial. He made these remarks during the 78th Independence Day celebration of Glowinstar Integrated School, Ambalpady.

Addressing the students, Dr Puranik advised them to reduce mobile phone usage and focus more on their studies citing that this will pave the way for a brighter future. He emphasized the importance of not wasting time and dedicating themselves to education.

The school principal, Dr T J Quadros, also addressed the gathering, stating that the development of students is directly linked to the development of India. He stressed that preserving and nurturing our freedom for the future is the responsibility of all citizens.

The event was attended by the school administration members, headmistress Shanta Fernandes, teachers, parents, and students. The program was anchored by Rachel Martha D'Souza, a 10th-grade student, while Tanvi M Kediyoor delivered the welcome address and Riddi E Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.
