Udupi: Catholic Credit Co-operative Society receives 'Sadhana Award' for outstanding performance

Udupi, Aug 16: The Catholic Credit Co-operative Society Ltd., Udupi, was recognized for its comprehensive development for the second consecutive year by the Dakshina Kannada District Central Co-operative Bank (DCC Bank). The society's president Louis Lobo, and chief executive officer Sandeep Fernandes, jointly received the 'Sadhana Award' during the bank's annual general meeting held on August 14, 2023.

The award ceremony saw the presence of several dignitaries, including the DCC Bank president Dr MN Rajendra Kumar, directors Deviprasad Shetty Belapu, board members, Co-operative Societies assistant registrar Lavanya, and District Co-operative Union president B Jayakar Shetty Indrali. The vice president of the society, James D'Souza, was also present on the occasion.

Established in 1997, the society has now entered its 27th successful year. During the fiscal year 2023-24, the society achieved a net profit of ?84.00 lakh and distributed a 17% dividend to all its members. Headquartered at Udupi Super Bazar, the society already operates branches in Udupi, Malpe, Udyavara, and Shirva. A new branch at Hoode-Kemmannu is set to be inaugurated on August 31.

The president extended his heartfelt thanks to the beloved board of directors, members, customers, well-wishers, and staff for their cooperation in achieving this milestone.
