Mangaluru: The Yenepoya Institute celebrates Independence Day

Mangaluru, Aug 17: The Yenepoya School & Yenepoya PU College commemorated Independence Day with great fervour on August 15. The celebration commenced with an invocation, filling the atmosphere with a sense of reverence and purpose.

The festivities continued with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony, accompanied by a flag song and a stirring rendition of the national anthem, which set the tone for the day's proceedings.

Uzwal Menezes, the principal, Yenepoya PU College, eloquently underscored the significance of the day, emphasizing its profound impact on our nation's trajectory.

The NCC cadets, who achieved success in the A certificate examination, were honoured by the dignitaries with certificates and a medal.

The swimming champions of The Yenepoya School brought laurels by winning 4 gold and 1 bronze medal in the state level swimming meet 2024, organized by Marlin Aquatic Centre in Mysuru. These students were also honoured by the dignitaries.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks. Anthony Joseph, the associate director, The Yenepoya School, welcomed the gathering. Mishriya Javid, the director, operations & academics presided over the ceremony.
