MLA Rahim Khan visits Udupi, reaffirms support for CM Siddaramaiah

Udupi, Aug 17: Senior Congress leader and three-time MLA from Bidar Rahim Khan visited Udupi today, addressing a gathering of party workers and supporters. The event featured Khan's strong defense of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Currently serving as the Minister for Municipal Administration and Hajj, Rahim Khan emphasised the government’s dedication to serving all citizens, irrespective of their political affiliations. "Congress’s foundation is built on love, care, and equality. The party’s guarantees and benefits reach everyone, regardless of their voting choices," he stated.

Khan also addressed the recent allegations and demands for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation, describing them as orchestrated moves by the opposition, similar to previous tactics used against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. He expressed confidence that the High Court’s verdict would ultimately reveal the truth about the chief minister.

The event was attended by prominent Congress leaders including Vinay Kumar Sorake, Congress campaigner, former MLA Gopal Poojary, M A Gafoor, vice-president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee; Ramesh Kanchan, Udupi Block Congress Committee president; Prasad Raj Kanchan; Ashok Kumar; and others.
