Mangaluru: St Aloysius Toastmasters Club holds installation ceremony

Mangaluru Aug 19: The St Aloysius Toastmasters Club held its installation ceremony at St Aloysius deemed to be university.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including vice chancellor Dr Praveen Martis SJ, registrar Dr Alwyn D'Sa, Dr Charles V Furtado, director of the admin block, and customs superintendent Lionel Fernandes, who served as the chief guest.

TM Priyadarshini hosted the event, and TM Andrew presented the secretary's report. Division F director, DTM Jyothika Shetty, administered the oath to the newly elected executive committee, led by president TM Julia Veigas. The committee members are:

TM Coral Rego, vice president education
TM Deion, vice president membership
TM Anvita D’Cunha, vice president public relations
TM Andrew Fernandes, secretary
TM Jaden Fernandes, sergeant at arms
TM Jude D’Souza, treasurer
TM Priyadarshini, immediate past president

After the installation, the chief guest, vice chancellor, and registrar shared their thoughts, followed by remarks from the immediate past president, TM Priyadarshini.

During the event, the division director also announced the club's recent achievements, including the Super 7 and President's Distinguished Club awards.

The ceremony ended with a special recognition of the vice chancellor and registrar for their support as charter members. After the formal programme, attendees enjoyed a networking session to connect and celebrate the club's accomplishments.
