Mangaluru: Srinivas University institute holds orientation programme

Mangaluru, Aug 19: The Srinivas University Institute of Management & Commerce held an orientation programme for the 2024-25 batch of students held at Srinivas city campus auditorium on August 16.

The programme was inaugurated by the register of Srinivas University, Dr Anil Kumar, in his presidential address encouraged students to embrace their chosen programme, confident that it offers ample opportunities for growth. He emphasized the importance of effective financial management, citing it as a key factor in the success of any business.

Specifically addressing IMC and field journalism courses, he stressed that journalists must be sharp and inquisitive. He advised students that merely earning a degree is not enough to become a professional; instead, they must focus on learning, developing problem-solving skills, and finding solutions to challenges.

The chief guest for the programme was the Srinivas University development register Dr Ajay Kumar, administered the oath and he said, I feel extremely proud and fortunate to have been a student of Srinivas University. Being a part of this esteemed institution has been a truly enriching experience. My advice to current students is to dedicate your time to practice and perfection. Learn to balance your academic, personal, and professional life, as this balance is the key to achieving success and happiness in life.

Srinivas University research coordinator Dr Shailashree, BCom HoD Prof Sharmila Shetty, BBA HoD Prof Shilpa K, BAJMC HoD Prof Sushmitha were present.

Institute of Management & Commerce dean Dr Venkatesh Amin welcomed the gathering, and course coordinator Prof Shwetha NS gave the vote of thanks. The programme was hosted by course coordinator Prof Yashaswi A Ail and Prof Usha.
