Mumbai: Shobha Dayananda Bontra Baroda passes away

Mumbai, Aug 19: Follower of Gayathri Shakti Peeta Baroda, active member of Tulu Sangha Baroda and Gujarat Billava Sangha, renowned social worker, religious leader Shobha Dayananda Bontra (77), passed away due to brief illness on the morning of Monday at her residence at Vishram Nagar on Vasna Road, Baroda.

Shobha was the director of Chirag Enterprises. She was the great donor of auditorium of Gujarat Billava Sangha Baroda Alkapura and Baidashree cultural centre. Recently Shobha donated her Rs 1.5 crore worth site to Gujarat Billava Sangha and was known as a philanthropist.

Shobha is survived by husband, president of Gayathri Shaktipeeta temple Baroda, honorary president of Tulu Sangha Baroda and Gujarat Billava Sangha Dayananda Bontra Belman, a son and scores of admirers.
