Mangaluru: Srinivas University Institute of Physiotherapy holds orientation program

Mangaluru, Aug 19: The Srinivas University Institute of Physiotherapy held orientation program for the 2024-25 batch of students held at Srinivas city campus auditorium on August 19.

The program was inaugurated by the chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao. In his presidential address, he stated, "Our students are also serving in other countries. Here, students are well-trained in skilled treatment. Nowadays, physiotherapy works wonders; without medicine, pain can be cured, and there are no side effects." He requested the students to serve the society with a smiling face.


The chief guest for the program was the pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr A Srinivas Rao. He said, "The physiotherapy course is upgrading every day. At Srinivas University, we use the latest equipment and train our students thoroughly. When the foundation is strong, students will become well-trained doctors in the future. With well-trained faculty, we place a strong emphasis on research, so we can contribute more to society."

Srinivas University Board of governors trustee member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, wished the students a fruitful student life. Srinivas University Board of governors trustee member Prof A Mitra S Rao said, "We need physiotherapists in our day-to-day life. Physiotherapy heals pain quickly without medicine and makes life easier. Doctors should build confidence in their patients and treat them with a smiling face, which helps in their quick recovery."

Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar said, "Medicine has its own effects, but physiotherapy has a special effect without the need for medication." He congratulated the students for choosing physiotherapy.

Institute of Physiotherapy dean Dr Rajashekar S welcomed the gathering, Dr R Kamalakannan proposed a vote of thanks. The program was hosted by Dr Thrishala Noronha and Dr Radhika Gopal S.
