Udupi: Rotary Club, SKPA Brahmavar zone celebrate World Photography Day

Udupi, Aug 20: Rotary Club Brahmavar and South Kanara Photographers association (SKPA), Dakshina Kannada, Udupi District Brahmavar Zone, celebrates World Photography Day at Rotary Bhawan, Brahmavar.

Rotarian Arur Thimmappa SHetty, former president and career services director, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and explained the importance of the photography profession and importance of organization.

On the occasion, Sylvia Cordeiro, president of Belthangady region and first zonal lady president in SKPA, Norbert Crasta senior photographer of Mangaluru region and Nithyananda K, senior photographer of Brahmavar region were felicitated.

Ganesh Shetty president Rotary Barkuru conducted the prize distribution of the reels competition organized by the organizations.

Various entertainment games and prize distribution to the members was held on the occasion.

Alvin Andrade, president of the photographers' association, welcomed the gathering. Rotarian Sridhar Shetty, president of Rotary Brahmavar presided over the meeting.

Secretary Rotary Brahmavar Uday Poojary, honorary president of photography association Brahmavar Raghavendra Poojary, general secretary Prathish Kumar, and secretary Pradeep Uppoor, were present.
