Tulu movie ‘Anarkali’ to hit screens on Aug 23, makers interact with media

Mangaluru, Aug 21: A press conference regarding the Tulu movie ‘Anarkali’, produced by Lakumi Cine Creations and Low Budget Productions and directed by Harshith Someshwara, was held in the city recently.

Speaking to the media, Ln Kishore D Shetty said, “A premiere show for Anarkali has already been held, and the audience has widely appreciated the movie. There is positive feedback about this movie in Tulunadu, which has brought happiness to the team. The movie will be released on August 23, and we urge all Tuluvas to watch the movie and support us."

Actor Shobharaj Pavoor said, “This is a pure Tulu cinema. It will stay with you even two days after watching it. Your money will not go to waste.”

Actress RJ Madhura added, “Those who have watched the movie have encouraged us. If Tuluvas go to the theatres and watch it, we can produce movies at even lower costs. We need everyone’s blessings.”

Director Harshith Someshwara remarked, “Keep an open mind when you watch the movie. We’ve packed two hours and 10 minutes with everything to entertain you. We all need to support the Tulu language and cinema so that they can thrive.”

Arun Rai Puttur, Vatsalya, Lanchulal, Rajaneesh Kotian, Rohit, and Mohan Koppala were present on the dais. The shooting of Anarkali was completed in one phase over 18 consecutive days at locations including Polali, Kateel, Someshwara, Ullal, Uliya, Neermarga, and Kalasa.

The movie centers on a comedic theme. The main cast includes Naveen D. Padil, Aravind Bolar, Deepak Panaje, Ravi Ramakunja, Pushparaj Bolluru, Sujata Shaktinagara, and Namita Kulur. Vijay Shobharaj Pavoor and RJ Madhura play the lead roles, with the supporting cast featuring Mohan Koppala, Harshith Someshwara, Manju Rai Muloor, Ranjan Boloor, Sharan Kaikamba, Prakash Shetty Dharmanagara, Vatsalya Salian, and Vinayak Jeppu.

Anil Kumar and Arun Rai Puttur served as cinematographers, with assistance from Charan Acharya and Prajwal Suvarna. Rohit Poojary composed the music. Mahesh Puttur and Veera Kesari were the executive producers, while Vatsalya Salian managed production. Chethan Kalladka handled lighting, assisted by Savyaraj Kalladka and Charanraj Pacchinadka. Bharat Tuluva was the art director. Veera Kesari, Bharat Tuluva, and Vivek Shetty were co-directors. Sudesh Poojary, Mokshit Kanakamajalu, Pavithra Prabhu, Amit, and Keerthan Rai Sullia served as assistant directors. Costumes were designed by Savitha Shekhar and Vidya Ucchil, and choreography was done by Shashank Suvarna. Sudesh Poojary and Harshith Someshwara wrote the lyrics. Nakul Abhayankar, Arfaaz Ullal, Sathish Patla, Srijan Kumar Tonse, Rohit Poojary, Vatsalya Salianada, and Saujanya were the playback singers. Advertisement design was by Pavan Acharya Boloor, and Harshith Someshwara served as the creative director. The movie was produced by Lunch Laal and Low Budget Productions, with Rajaneesh Kotian and Kishore D Shetty as co-producers.
