Mangaluru, Aug 22: Miscreants hurled stones at the house of MLC Ivan D’Souza late Wednesday night.

It is reported that the incident occurred around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. Ivan D’Souza was not at home when the stones were thrown, but his family members were inside the house.

The Karnataka BJP has expressed strong outrage over a controversial statement made by Congress leader and MLC Ivan D’Souza, who warned that Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot could face a situation similar to that of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh if the Centre does not recall him.

D’Souza made these remarks during a protest organized by district Congress workers in Mangaluru on Monday. The protest was in response to the Governor’s decision to grant prosecution permission against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the MUDA scandal.
