To be fair, average education of women population has gone up and either exceeds or at par with male population compared to past. Add a mix of social media, peer pressure and demand for equal decision making rights, it makes a dangerous few years for the couple to settle. It is sad that this period of curing was tumultuous that it led to a deadly end. I hope the community will shun Shyam and Kiran so that this married man of 9 months and now eligible bachelor never gets to marry again.

Ayes kudla ,They are just married not even one year. And they started to quarrel and he hit her.Problem was they didnt know each other and their habits .Suppose they knew each other before marriage this could have avoided.Thats the bad side of Proposal marraige.A divorce will not be accepted sometimes from husband or wife, and their parents as well ,so why they were having streit we dont know .Sad ,Heartfelt sympathy to her family.Couple should understand each other ,forgive sometimes ,but not simply hit a woman for small faults which is normal in India.Poor girl had no chance to defend herself.May her soul rest in peace.

Really Sad. Not getting to this specific case, where we know nothing about, but in general women usually are the victims of physical domestic violence. But, men too are not far behind, they suffer mental torture too. There are so many broken marriages these days, it is sad to see. Many a times it is just ego, between two. Nobody, wants to say sorry first. Talks are taunts. Requests are irrovocable deamands, logical within means or beyond means. High voltage and High Decible quarrels, then comes the day seperation, both wondering why they married at all. At times men are fully guilty and at times women. Women go through physical torture, men go through mental. Time for society to reinvent itself, what is that lacking, how can we progress, what is the corrective measures, without being fanatical or biased.

What was the need to commit murder? If you didn’t want your wife, you could have given her a divorce. Now, rot in jail.”

Crime is a crime, I think he didn't have a intention of killing here, he hit her in anger which resulted in death. However he is responsible for his act, should go to jail as per law without mercy.
