Mangaluru, Aug 23: Congress supporters organized a procession from the residence of MLC Ivan D’Souza in Valencia to Kankanady, condemning the stone pelting incident on his house by unidentified miscreants.

During the procession, Congress workers raised slogans against the BJP. The police intervened and stopped the protesters as they reached Kankanady Junction. Following this, the Congress members held a sit-in protest.

MLA Ivan D’Souza, Congress district president Harish Kumar, former MLA J R Lobo, and senior leaders P V Mohan, M G Hegde, Suresh Ballal, Padmaraj, Praveen Chandra Alva, Shahulbahamid, Shalet Pinto, Vishwas Kumar Das, and Devi Prasad Shetty were present at the protest.

It may be recalled, while addressing the party workers on August 19 during a protest against the Governor, which the Congress had called over his order for an investigation of chief minister Siddaramaiah in the MUDA case, Ivan D'Souza said that the Governor can also face former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-like situation.

On late Wednesday, some bike-borne miscreants, pelted stones at the residence of Ivan D'Souza twice and escaped from the spot. The police said that they have launched a hunt to arrest the accused.

The police have beefed up security at the MLC’s residence and surrounding areas following the stone pelting incident.

Jai Congress. In both the districts of D.K. and Udupi congress workers must be creative and active always. Don't given room for these communal fundoos. Our national highways are so bad and two M.P.'s are blindly supporting communal fundamentals.

"Some members of the BJPee Yuva Morcha filed a complaint against Ivan D’Souza at the Barke police station. So, who could be responsible for throwing stones at his house now? This is the work of cowardly people.”

Reality is Both parties don't have any work. I hit you cry =you cry i hit. Why we selected these leaders ? only for protest till afternoon on the street and evening make party. Focus on real problems like flood. development rather than wasting time on blaming each other. it is clear evidence that both party protesters are unemployed. What is the use ? Good for daily wages with food and liquor.

Totally agree with you. Seldom Congress protests on streets. Jobless BJP and Sangh Parivar family are champions in protesting even if somebody farts loudly. Now you only decide who is superior in public disturbances.
