Mangaluru, Aug 24: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) episcopal city deanery, in collaboration with the ICYM Jeppu unit, organized a spiritually enriching Eucharistic Adoration service for the youth on August 23, at Jeppu parish. Large number of youth from across the deanery, united in their desire to deepen their faith and strengthen their spiritual lives.
The service was also graced by Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, episcopal city deanery vicar, Fr Lawrence Cutinha, ICYM ECD director, Winston D’Souza ICYM Mangalore diocese president, Riana D'Cunha vice president, Suzannha Ferrao ICYM ECD president, Muriel Mascarenhas ICYM ECD secretary, and the entire executive committee of ICYM ECD.
Fr Joswin D'Souza led the Eucharistic Adoration, guiding the attendees through a profound spiritual experience designed to encourage active participation in church activities and nurture the spiritual growth of the young members. The service was marked by moments of deep reflection and prayer, offering the youth an opportunity to reconnect with their faith in a meaningful way.
The event received widespread praise for its ability to bring young people together and highlight the importance of prayer in daily life. "The Adoration helped relax and calm our minds, and we felt a deep sense of spirituality through meditation," shared one of the attendees.
Music for the service was beautifully led by Br Joel, with the choir harmoniously conducted by ICYM ECD council members. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Muriel Mascrahenas, ICYM ECD secretary, who expressed gratitude to all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
The ICYM episcopal city deanery plans to continue hosting such events, aiming to foster spiritual growth and strengthen community bonds among the youth.
