Bengaluru, Aug 24: Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra and director PC Shekhar have joined hands for a new film. Vijay Raghavendra will play the role of a farmer in this film which has an inspiring story about a farmer. The title for this film is not fixed yet.

Director PC Shekhar has given action cuts for movies like 'Romeo' starring golden star Ganesh and 'Raga' starring Mitra. Now PC Shekhar is directing the new film which is being produced by Prakash Siddappa under the banner Akasha Pictures. Vijaya Raghavendra who is popular for his amazing performance is playing the lead role in this movie. It is a film about farmers.
"The subject of farmers is very close to my heart and PC Shekhar was a student at Alliance University. It's a pleasure now that he is directing the first film under the Akash Pictures banner in association with Alliance University's film making course. Alumni who studied at Alliance and are now in different jobs are with us in film production. Attempts are underway to start shooting soon. Vijay Raghavendra is playing the lead role in the film, and more information about the rest of the artists and technicians will be given in the near future," said producer Prakash.

The movie takes place in the village.
“This is a movie about a farmer. Most of the shooting will be done in the village itself. An attempt will be made in this film to show the importance of the farmer to the country along with the relationship between the farmer and the public. I have written the story and screenplay for this film. While writing the story, I wrote the story keeping Vijaya Raghavendra in mind. I am very happy that when I told the story to them, they liked it and agreed to act. The film has a lavish cast and crew. This is a different style of cinema in my film journey for so many years. This is a film close to my heart and we are making this film with a lot of love," says director PC Shekhar.
"When director PC Shekhar came and told the story of this film, I was very happy to hear the story. Thanks to director PC Shekhar and producer Prakash Siddappa for choosing him as the lead in this film about a breadwinner farmer. This is my first film directed by PC Shekhar," said actor Vijaya Raghavendra.
