Kundapur, Aug 24: The Moodlakatte Institute of Science and Commerce marked the successful inauguration of ‘Chaitanya Chilume', a vibrant event that was part of the 9th-day celebrations of the ongoing induction programme. The event celebrated the launch of various student associations within the institution.
Speaking at the occasion, senior journalist John D'Souza stated, "The values of institutes founder IM Jayaram Shetty, the importance of active participation and enthusiasm in student life. While education is crucial for personal growth, it must be complemented by cultural and natural experiences, as well as a sense of humanity. Only then can students develop a well-rounded personality."
He urged students to actively engage in their lives, stating that when they tap into their inner strength, an extraordinary vitality emerges. Organizations like these associations play a vital role in helping students learn valuable life lessons through their interaction with nature, he said.
The event's chief guest, senior journalist John D'Souza, inaugurated the various associations and extended his best wishes. He encouraged the students to trust in their inner strength and strive for success.
The vice principal, Jayasheela Kumar, introduced the secretaries and co-secretaries of the various associations to the gathering, followed by the unveiling of their logos. The principal, Dr Pratibha Patil, administered the oath of office to the newly appointed association office-bearers.
Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, director of IMJ brand building, praised the institute's commitment to instilling discipline among students, noting that such initiatives contribute to their transformation into successful individuals.
The event was presided over by principal Dr Pratibha Patil. The programme began with a prayer led by Nayana and Chetan from the final year BCA class. Rashitha from the second-year BCA welcomed the gathering, while Sinchana from the second-year BCA offered a vote of thanks. Sabha from the final year BCom successfully compered the event.
