Mangaluru: St Agnes College organizes Mosaru Kudike competition

Mangaluru, Aug 26: The spirituality committee, in collaboration with the student council members, successfully organized the Mosaru Kudike competition, an event filled with excitement and cultural significance. The competition was held on August 23 on occasion of Krishna Janmastami, with the aim of celebrating tradition and fostering a sense of community among the college students and staff.

The Mosaru Kudike competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, who competed in teams to break the pots filled with a packet of curds, water and coins that were kept at a challenging height. The event was a true test of agility, time management, and coordination, as participants were blindfolded and cheered on by their peers. In addition to the main event, there were food savoury stall put up by the student council members reflecting the spirit of the festival.

The Mosaru Kudike competition was a memorable event that brought together students, faculty, and staff in a joyous celebration of culture and community. The spirituality committee and the college student council members extend their heartfelt thanks to all participants, judges, and volunteers for making the event a grand success. The college looks forward to organizing more such events in the future, continuing to promote cultural heritage among its members.

The event was compered by Niyanth, the ATC secretary, who guided the proceedings with great enthusiasm and kept the audience, engaged throughout the competition. The venue was bustling with energy as participants from various departments prepared to take part in the Mosaru Kudike challenge. The competition was judged by two esteemed faculty members Dr R Nagesh, dean of arts and humanities and Dr Tangarani, department of sports. Their experience and expertise ensured a fair and spirited competition, as they carefully observed the skills and teamwork displayed by the participants.

The competition concluded with a lively award ceremony, where medals were distributed to the winning teams by the judges, Dr R Nagesh and Dr Tangarani, along with committee members. The winners were celebrated for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship. A special prize was awarded to Santhosh, a member of the non-teaching staff, for his enthusiastic participation in the competition. His involvement added a unique and inclusive touch to the event, highlighting the spirit of unity within the college community.
