Udupi, Aug 26: An informative session on oral health awareness and dental check-up held at Vidya Academy Moodlakatte recently, for students.

The event featured a detailed lecture and dental check-up camp led by Dr Jagadish Jogi from Sridevi Dental Clinic Koteshwara, during the session briefed about the oral hygiene, the importance of dental care and the significance of the daily dental practices.

He discussed the harmful effects of sugar food, chocolates and cold drinks on dental health, emphasizing the need for regular oral care.

Under his guidance, each student's teeth were examined, and some students were found to have early dental issues, for which immediate treatment was recommended. The students actively participated and shared their dental concerns with the doctor.

The programme ended with the token of appreciation to Dr Jagadish from the school.

The event was attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
