Udupi: IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce hosts Fresher’s Day 2024

Udupi, Aug 27: The IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce celebrated its annual fresher’s day programme, marking a welcoming and motivational event for the incoming first-year students. Held at the institute's main auditorium, the programme was inaugurated by Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, director of IMJ brand building.

Dr Hegde, addressing the new batch of students, emphasized the institution’s commitment to their holistic development. He quoted the college prayer, ‘Life should be learned, life should be worn', encouraging students to embrace both academic and personal growth throughout their time at IMJ.

Principal of IMJ Institute, Dr Pratibha Patel, extended her best wishes to the students, urging them to seize the opportunities provided and strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. Principal Jayasheel Kumar also addressed the gathering, highlighting the various platforms and resources available at the college that students should utilize for their comprehensive development.

The event witnessed the presence of the faculty members, head of the computer science department, Swarna Rani and head of the commerce department, Archana Gadde. The programme was compered by second-year BCA student Rashika.
