Udupi: Invitation for 'Uchila Dasara 2024' released

Udupi, Aug 27: The invitation letter for Uchila Dasara 2024, which will be organized by Mogaveera Mahajana Sangh at the premises of Uchila Sri Mahalakshmi Temple, was released by Nadoja Dr G Shankar, the honorary advisor of the temple.

The temple's chief priest, Vedamurthy K V Raghavendra Upadhyaya, performed a puja and led the prayer. Nadoja Dr G Shankar officially released the invitation letter. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "Uchila Dasara will be held at Uchila Shri Mahalakshmi Temple starting October 3 with the installation of Navadurga and Shri Sharada and will continue until October 12.

This year, Uchila Dasara will feature Yuva Dasara, a bodybuilding competition, a girls' tiger dance competition, a mass Dandi dance, a youth music festival, a mass kumkumarchana by thousands of Sumangalis, various entertainment programs every day, a daily afternoon food offering, and a Shobhayatra on October 12 at 3 pm near the Kapu beach lighthouse."

Mogaveera Mahajana Sangh president Jaya C Kotian Bellampally, renovation committee president Gundu B Amin, constituency board president Vasudeva Salian, businessman Bhuvendra Kediyoor, women’s wing president Usha Rani, Uchila Bada Gram Panchayat president Shivakumar Mendon, temple secretary Satish Amin Padukere, committee members, and members of the women’s unit were also present on the occasion.
