Mangaluru, Aug 28: To inspire excellence, ignite passion, and push the boundaries of personal growth, St Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru, hosted the science, commerce, and arts Fest 2024. The event officially commenced on August 16, with the inauguration of 'Genesis – The science Fest' and 'Finanza – The arts and commerce Fest'. The opening ceremony featured a spectacular dance performance that set the stage for the exciting events to follow.
Finanza, the commerce and arts fest, included ten intellectually stimulating competitions: best manager, human resource, marketing manager, quiz, finance officer, and public relations. Highlights of this fest were the Mad Ad, Corporate Walk, Treasure Hunt, and Brand Ambassador contests.
Genesis, the Science Fest, offered a range of challenges designed to unveil students' scientific potential. Competitions included Gamble Scramble, Intellectual Enigma, Bio Chaos, Thrill Chase, Conflicts Confront, Digital Dual, Fix-it-Frenzy, Binary Battle, Cosmos Quizzard, Quantum Leaps, and Robo Report, each providing a dynamic platform for scientific exploration.
The finals of various competitions were conducted on August, 24. On the occasion the principal, Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ addressed the gathering, urging students to reflect critically and contribute meaningfully to society. He appreciated the meticulous organization of the fest and congratulated both the staff and students for their contributions.
The winners were honored by the principal Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, campus minister Fr Anthony Derrick, vice principals Muralikrishna GM and Vilma Fernandes, and deans, Dr Pradeep M and Kiran Shetty.
