Udupi: ‘Anarkali’ Tulu film to release at Kalpana Theatre on Aug 30

Udupi, Aug 29: The Tulu film 'Anarkali', produced by Lakumi Cine Creations and Low Budget Productions and directed by Harshith Someshwara, premiered on August 23 and has received positive responses from audiences. The film is set to release in Udupi’s Kalpana Theatre and in Kasaragod starting August 30, with plans for further screenings in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and abroad.

During a press conference held today in Udupi, director Harshith Someshwara shared details about the film. He explained that Anarkali was shot over 18 days on a single set, with filming locations including Polali, Kateelu, Someshwar, Ullala, Uliya, Neer Marg, and Kalasa.

The film features Naveen D Padil, Aravinda Bolar, Deepak Panaje, Ravi Ramakunja, Pushpaaraj Bollur, Sujatha Shaktinagar, and Namitha Kulur in lead roles. Vijay Shobharaj Pavur stars as the lead actor, with Madhura R J playing the heroine. Other notable cast members include Mohan Koppala, Manju Rai Mulur, Ranjan Bolur Sharan Kaikamba, Prakash Shetty Dharmanagar, and Vatsalya Salian.

The cinematography was handled by Anil Kumar and Arun Rai Puttur, with assistant cinematography by Charan Acharya and Prajwal Suvarna. The music for the film was composed by Rohith Poojari.

Rohith Poojary, music director, said, “The movie consists of four songs, which are released on YouTube. The movie is made by a fresh and young team with a fresh experience. With the public support we can come up with more new movies.”

Production management and actress Vatsalya Salian and art director Bharath Tuluva were present in the press meet.
