Mangaluru, Aug 29: To commemorate anti-ragging week from August 12 to 18, Yenepoya Dental College (YDC) conducted various events such as essay writing, story-telling, tagline or one-liner competition for dental students.

As many as 200 students participated in all the events. The anti-ragging week commenced with a workshop conducted by Dr Imran Mohtesham, nodal office YDC.

Dr Imran Mohtesham stressed upon and iterated the ill-effects of ragging and also made aware about the steps that are taken in Yenepoya Dental College to curb the menace of ragging.

In another event which constituted students council members, anti-ragging squad, floor wise anti-ragging committee, mentors and other staff members of the Yenepoya Dental College, Dr Laxmikanth Chatra, principal YDC, addressed the gathering and sensitized the member regarding the ragging and its ill effects.

Vice principal YDC, Dr Sarfaraz Hasan and dean of faculty YDC Dr Sham S Bhat were also present for the events.
