Bantwal, Aug 29: BJP’s treasurer Dinesh Bhandary has accused former Congress minister B Ramanath Rai of making false allegations against BJP.

Addressing media persons at the B C Road party office, Bhandary criticised Rai for making statements far from the truth, urging him instead to review the records from the municipal council before speaking further.

Bhandary asserted that during his tenure as the municipal council president, he was elected with the support of two Congress members, Vasanthi Gangadhar and Swarnalatha Mallya, and not with the help of the Muslim League.

He questioned Rai’s knowledge of the election process, noting that Rai himself had participated in the voting, implying that Rai’s allegations were baseless and lacked moral standing.

He expressed frustration, stating that Rai’s false claims are well known to the people of Bantwal.

The press conference was attended by key BJP figures including Bantwal Mandal president Chennappa R Kotyan, Municipal Council member A Govinda Prabhu, treasurer Dinesh Bhandari, and general secretaries Shiva Prasad Shetty, Sudarshan Bajj, Prabhakar Prabhu, Janardhan Bondal, Youth Morcha general secretary Hariprasad, media in-charge Purushottam Shetty, and office secretary Pranam Raj Ajjibettu.
