Mangaluru: Srinivas University hosts orientation program for Occupational Therapy students

Mangaluru, Aug 30: The Srinivas University Institute of Physiotherapy, Department of Occupational Therapy, conducted an orientation program for the incoming 2024-25 students at the Srinivas City Campus auditorium on August 26.

The honourable pro-chancellor of Srinivas University Dr A Srinivas Rao inaugurated the program. He highlighted that Srinivas University is committed to equipping students with the latest technology and thorough training, ensuring they are well-prepared to become highly skilled healthcare professionals. He also encouraged students to focus on maintaining good health and adopting a positive lifestyle, noting that they are now part of the Srinivas University family.

Dr Ajay Kumar, registrar (Development) of Srinivas University, also addressed the gathering, stating that the university’s mission goes beyond academic instruction. He stressed the importance of instilling values in students, shaping them not only into competent professionals but also into responsible individuals. Dr Kumar motivated the students by sharing insights from his own experiences.

The event began with a warm welcome from Dr Rajashekar S, dean of the Institute of Physiotherapy. The program was hosted by Dr Thrishala Noronha and Dr Radhika Gopal S.
