Kundapur: Gold ornaments worth Rs 4.8 lac stolen from house

Kundapur, Sep 1: Mariyam Shaharin (26), a resident of Siddapura, has filed a complaint at the rural police station reporting the theft of three gold bangles weighing 100 grams and worth Rs 4.8 lac, which were kept inside a suitcase in her house.

According to Mariyam's complaint, she had gone to her father-in-law Mohammed Qasim’s house on August 22 for a housewarming ceremony and a wedding at Kalkamba in Shetrakatte, Gulvadi village.

After returning home on the evening of August 26, she placed the three bangles and other gold ornaments in a suitcase with clothes. However, when she opened the suitcase on the evening of August 27, she discovered the gold ornaments were missing.

Kundapur rural police are investigating the case.
