Mangaluru: MRPL contributes Rs 47 lac to Akshaya Patra Foundation for Mid-Day Meal Programme

Mangaluru, Sep 3: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has announced a financial contribution of Rs 47 lac to the Akshaya Patra Foundation, an initiative by ISKCON, to support their Mid-Day Meal Programme. This funding will provide hot, nutritious meals to approximately 2,500 students from various schools in the vicinity of MRPL, ensuring that they receive daily mid-day meals throughout the academic year.

This contribution of MRPL is aligned to it’s steadfast commitment to promoting education through it’s 'Shiksha Samrakshan' scheme which backs impactful initiatives such as the Akshaya Patra Mid-Day Meal Programme. By supporting this cause, MRPL plays a pivotal role in enhancing the learning environment for the children.

Prashanth Baliga GM (CSR) of MRPL handed over LOI of Rs 47 lac to the representatives of Akshaya Patra Foundation on the ocaasion. MRPL officer Steevan Pinto was present.
