Mangaluru, Sep 2: In an act of compassion, private bus staff transported a woman who collapsed on the bus to Natekal Kanachur Hospital. This incident took place on September 2 near Natekal Kanachur Hospital.

The woman had boarded a Mercy Travels bus at Mudipu, heading from Vittal to Mangaluru. Even after the bus reached Mudipu, the woman did not disembark, prompting the conductor, Yakub, to check on her.

A fellow passenger informed him that the woman had collapsed due to illness. Without delay, driver Savad and conductor Yakub drove the bus for 10 kilometers to Kanachur Hospital in Natekal, where they admitted her to the emergency ward. The hospital's CCTV captured the incident.

The bus staff reported that the woman is now recovering. Similar incidents of humanity were witnessed twice in Mangaluru city recently, and a week ago in Udupi. The prompt action by the private bus staff in Mudipu has been widely appreciated.
