Chain snatching incident reported in Udupi

Udupi, Sep 4: A chain snatching incident occurred in Shivalli village, Udupi on September 3.

The theft occurred when complainant Kamala (70), Shivalli village Udupi, was on her way to her brother’s house near the Tirumala Poultry Farm on the road in Sagrinole, Shivalli Village.

According to the report, an unidentified individual coming from Perampalli side approached Kamala from behind and forcibly snatched a 16-gram gold chain from her neck. The incident took place in broad daylight.

A case has been registered under Manipal police station and an investigation is currently underway.
