Mangaluru, Sep 4: The purpose of education is not only to impart knowledge to the students but also prepare them to face the challenges of competitive world. In order to empower the students to face competitive exams confidently, a training session on ‘Preparation for Competitive Exams’ was organized for the students jointly by the Commerce & Management Association and Placement Cell on September 4, under the guidance of IQAC. Dr Sumana Bolar, assistant professor of sociology, Government First Grade College for Women, Mangaluru was the resource person.
Initially at the formal programme, Dr Sumana Bolar highlighted the importance of updating the general knowledge to enhance the competence in the competitive world and in facing the challenges with self-confidence.
During the training session, Dr Sumana Bolar gave insights about the various aspects involved in the competitive exams. She informed the students about various sources of learning materials for the competitive exams. She gave a number of tips for cracking the competitive exams efficiently. Later, she shared her own personal experience of facing various competitive exams and showed some questions of Administrative exams. At the end, students clarified their doubts by raising queries.
The formal programme was presided by the principal Dr Geetha M L. Shreya of III BCom compeered the programme, Deepthi of III BCom welcomed the gathering and Tripthi of III BBA proposed vote of thanks.
