Mangaluru: Shreya’s Sweets marks milestone with grand reopening of renovated showroom at Alake

Mangaluru, Sep 4: Shreya’s Sweets, a paragon of legacy and innovation in Mangaluru’s confectionery sphere, celebrated a major milestone with the grand unveiling of its exquisitely renovated, fully air-conditioned showroom at Mallya Arcade, Alake.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, former MP for Dakshina Kannada constituency; D Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South; Sudheer Shetty Kannur, mayor, Mangaluru; and Jayashree Kudva, councillor, Mangaluru City Corporation, graced the launching event, which seamlessly blended traditional charm with modern sophistication.

The ceremonial event featured a ribbon-cutting followed by a guided tour of the newly renovated showroom. Guests explored the brand's latest offerings and experienced the space's renewed elegance.

Congratulating Ramesh Mallya and the management, Vedavyas Kamath said, "For many years, the people of Mangaluru have closely experienced the generosity and kindness of Ramesh Mallya. He is one of the pioneers of authentic and local sweets. Along with business, he is also involved in many social activities, showing his commitment to society. More than a hundred staff work at Shreya’s Sweets, indicating that the firm also contributes significantly to creating employment for youth. On this occasion, I congratulate Ramesh Mallya and his family for an additional venture under the brand of Shreya’s Sweets."

Wishing the management of Shreya’s Sweets, Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "Mangaluru is known for its unique food style. We have a number of national-level brands in the food industry. Mothi Mahal, Ideal, and Natural are the pride of Mangaluru. Shreya’s Sweets also falls under the same category because here we can find authentic Mangalorean sweets. The newly renovated showroom of Shreya’s Sweets will allow people to buy sweets from a wide range of collections."

The event was also attended by members of Shreya’s Sweets' family, including Muralidhar Ramani, Shivkumar Sharma, Sudhakar Kamath, Naresh Shenoy, Chetan Kamath, Naresh Prabhu, Guru Prasad Kamath, and Deepak Shenoy Vashi.

N Ramesh Mallya and N Asha Mallya, founders of Shreya’s Sweets, welcomed the dignitaries and gathering. RJ Kiran compered the event.
