Eid Milad will be celebrated on September 15 and 16. To ensure both festivals are celebrated peacefully and harmoniously, the administration has outlined the following directives:

  1. Permits and Permissions:

    • Ganesh Chaturthi: Obtain necessary permissions from MESCO, the Fire Department, local authorities, and property owners before installing Ganesh idols.
    • Eid Milad: Similar permissions should be sought for any public events or gatherings associated with Eid Milad.
  2. Police Regulations:

    • Ganesh Chaturthi: Avoid using provocative language or images. Obtain prior authorization from local authorities for flexes and banners. Loudspeakers can be used only with police permission.
    • Eid Milad: Ensure that any public displays or events comply with local regulations and avoid provocative content.
  3. Procession Guidelines:

    • Ganesh Chaturthi: Submit details about the immersion date, time, and route to the concerned police station and Deputy SP in advance. Ensure no provocative statements are made during the procession.
    • Eid Milad: Follow similar procedures for any processions or public gatherings, ensuring peaceful observance.
  4. Volunteer Coordination:

    • Equip volunteers with uniforms of the same color for Ganesh Chaturthi and organize them into groups to manage procession routes effectively.
  5. Emergency Services:

    • Ensure the availability of a well-equipped ambulance during the Ganesh Chaturthi procession. Similar arrangements should be considered for Eid Milad if needed.
  6. Loudspeakers:

    • Ganesh Chaturthi: Loudspeakers should be installed only after obtaining police permission. DJs are not permitted.
    • Eid Milad: Avoid using loudspeakers in sensitive areas and ensure compliance with any local restrictions.

The district administration has also scheduled peace meetings with community leaders to discuss and ensure adherence to these guidelines. Non-compliance with these regulations may result in legal action.
