Udupi, Sep 5: “Teachers are in the place of god”, said Dr T J Quadros, principal of Glowinstar Integrated School, Ambalpady, on the occasion of the Teachers' Day celebration on September 5.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr T J Quadros, principal of Glowinstar Integrated School, said, “A teacher is a role model for the students. The students can repay their teachers by scoring good marks in the examinations.
"A teacher who works for the development of the students is blessed by God including their family and children. If a teacher does their work sincerely, their life will be peaceful and full of satisfaction." he added.
The students showed their respect to the teachers by presenting a gift as a token of love to every teacher.
Various entertainment programmes, games and dance performances were held on the day.
Disha D Kunder, a student of Grade 10 welcomed the gathering. Dhanvith B Salian of Grade 10 proposed a vote of thanks and Dhrisha D Shetty compered the programme.
The headmistress B Shantha Fernandes, all teaching and non-teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
