Kundapur, Sep 5: The Kundapur BJP Mandal has strongly condemned the state government's decision to temporarily withhold the state-level award for the best principal, which was to be conferred on the principal of Kundapur Junior College during the Teachers' Day celebrations.

Kundapur BJP Mandal president Suresh Shetty Gopadi expressed outrage over the matter.

In a press release, Suresh Shetty stated that the Department of Education had selected the recipient based on all the required qualifications. He emphasized that political interference in education is unacceptable and that this act is an insult to both the Department of Education and teachers across the country. He urged the state government to immediately lift the temporary halt and confer the award on the deserving teachers who were previously selected.
