Konkan Association Charitable Trust celebrates Monthi Fest

Mumbai, Sep 9: The Konkan Association Charitable Trust (KACT) celebrated Monthi feast as a 28th anniversary of the trust on Sunday evening at the Vincent Pallotti Church Hall in Marol, Andheri East,

Francis Rasqinha, managing director of Francis Shipping Agency Pvt Ltd was the chief guest and distributed scholarship to Vincial Goveas and felicitated her. Editor of Divo Weekly, Laurence Coelho gave a festive message.

Social worker, donor Jessy Lancy D'Silva, businessmen Henry Pais, Harold Castelino, film actor, director Lancy D'Souza Niddodi were the guests. Former president of the Trust Benedicta B Rebello (retired teacher), former president Walter D'Souza Kalmadi, KACT secretary Vincent Castelino graced the stage.

At the beginning Vincent Pallotti Church parish priest Fr Victor Martis celebrated Holy Mass and worshiped the Mother and blessed the newly paddy crops.

In the programme Sr Nilima, Sr Valencia Paul Mascarenhas, Michael Monteiro, Rocky D’Cunha, Suzanha L Coehlo, Flora D'Souza Jerimeri, Elias D'Souza, Manuel P Fernandes, Pritesh Castelino and other dignitaries and members were present.

John Rodrigues, Victor Pereira, Clara Menezes, Lilly L Fernandes, Peter Robeiro, Ronnie Olivera, Ida M Montero honored the guests with bouquets. K Julius, Nelson Nader honored the guests with bouquets. Cyril Castelino hosted the programme. President Leo Fernandes Jerimeri welcomed and explained the specialness of the festival and commemorated the favor.

Members, children performed dance and music. At the end, remembering mother nature and blessing the first harvest of the year, a traditionally prepared pure vegetarian meal was served to the children of the ashram. The Monthi Feast concluded with a Nove Jevan.
