Mangaluru: St Agnes School triumphs in Karate and Athletics, setting new standards of excellence

Mangaluru, Sep 9: St Agnes School (CBSE) celebrated an outstanding triumph at the State-level Inter-Dojo Karate Championship -2024, organised by the Institute of Karate and Allied Arts in Surathkal.

The event, spanning from August 31 to September 1, showcased the exceptional prowess of the students, who not only demonstrated their Karate skills but also embodied the values of dedication and discipline.

Among the remarkable achievers, Anvitha A of Grade 8C distinguished herself by securing the coveted 1st place in Kata individual black belt, alongside a commendable 3rd place in black belt individual Kumite.

Ridima Ranjith of grade 8A earned top honours with 1st place in brown belt individual Kumite and further solidified her success with a 2nd place finish in brown belt Individual Kata.

Nilani Ullal of grade 8C exhibited impressive skill, claiming 2nd place in both Kata and Kumite individual competitions. Ditya Ullal of grade 5C also showcased her talent, achieving 2nd and 3rd places in Kata and Kumite individual competitions, respectively. Fathima Zoha of grade 7A earned a well-deserved 3rd place in both Kata and Kumite individual competitions.

Additionally, Krithik A of grade 4C secured 2nd place in both Kata and Kumite individual competitions, further highlighting the school's exceptional talent pool.

In a parallel triumph at the Dakshina Kannada District Junior Athletic Meet 2024, organised by the Dakshina Kannada Athletics Association, held on August 31, Adwika K P of grade 7A emerged victorious in the Triathlon, which comprised 60 meters, long jump, and back throw events. Her 1st place finish has earned her a spot in the state level competition in Mysore, a testament to her remarkable athletic abilities.

The entire school community, led by the management, principal Sr Sarika AC, staff, and students, has expressed immense pride and joy in these achievements. Their heartfelt congratulations underscore the importance of sports in shaping character and fostering a spirit of excellence. The students' unwavering determination and perseverance have not only brought honour to their school but also set a high standard for future endeavours.
