Bengaluru: Christ University organises cultural fest ‘Darpan 24’

Bengaluru, Sep 10: One of the biggest fests in this odd semester that happens once every year – Darpan was organised Christ University central campus, without doubt is the hotspot for celebration of diverse multiculturalism and inclusivity. Immersed in awe and inspiration of the festivities that was a 19-day long event for the central campus, Christ University ensures that all the campuses around the nation comes alive with enthusiastic participation from students all pouring in to compete, contest and converge for victory while enjoying themselves in the carnivalesque atmosphere.

Regarded as one of the highly prestigious events of the University across campuses, the winners of the Darpan event get to become a part of the university cultural team, representing the University in various events and inter-college fests.

The programme covers the event from all fields whether be it literature, theatre, dance, music, art and craft or sports and gaming. With the addition of the E-Sports category and Short Film Event this year's notable highlights included the jump in the number of registrations and participation of students up to 1500+ and 1000+ respectively, from all over the campus. Such a remarkable feat is achieved, thanks to the participants coming across from various departments and schools, including UG, PG and PhD level students, who get to constitute and represent their varied production houses and go on to form the cultural team for the University.

The 19-day programme reached its end on September 3 with the valedictory ceremony of Darpan, organized by the Student Welfare Office (SWO). They celebrated the evening full of mesmerizing performances, unforgettable memories and inspiring awards, unveiling the Christ University cultural team for the academic year 2024-25, who would go on to represent the University in various fields and arenas.

With the great success of Darpan, our intra-university cultural talent hunt, the university looks forward to celebrating many more such events upcoming in just a few months. The goal moving forward is to keep the spirits high and achieving goals of harmonious growth in all fields of student life - academic and extracurricular.
