Bantwal: Devamatha English Medium School hosts thrilling throwball tournament

Bantwal, Sep 10: Devamatha English Medium School proudly held Kalladka Zonal Level throwball tournament on September 9, featuring 16 teams from primary and high school.

The event was presided over by the correspondent Fr Anil Canute D’Mello. The chief guest of the day Jagadeesh highlighted the importance of sports and games for healthy living.

Fr Naveen Prakash Pinto welcomed the gathering and Aruna Kumari proposed a vote of thanks. The members of the managing committee and Parent Teacher Association were present.

Anitha D’Souza was the master of ceremony for the inaugural programme. In the afternoon, sumptuous and delicious food was served by the PTA which is sponsored by its members.

Balavikas School's High School boys and girls teams secured first place, while Devamatha English Medium School’s High School boys and girls teams earned second place. In the primary section, Devamatha girls team secured first place and St Antony Higher Primary School won second place.

In the primary boys section, GHPS, Narikombu and Devamatha boys team obtained second place. The tournament was concluded with a ceremony conducted by Nayana and Linet D’Souza, in which trophies and mementos were awarded.
