Mangaluru: Carmel School, CBSE, Kotekar celebrates 'National Sports Day'

Mangaluru, Sep 10: The National Sports Day celebration was held at Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, Kotekar (CBSE), on August 29. The programme was organised by the 4B class students. It commenced with a prayer dance, and a graceful welcome dance by the students.

The celebration was graced by the presence of Dr Amar Sunil Lobo, a renowned academician and sports enthusiast with an impressive educational background.

Keeping the theme of the day, students performed beautiful dances, presented the significance of the day recalling the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, a legendary Indian Hockey player.

Addressing the students, Dr Amar Sunil Lobo emphasised the importance of sports in students' lives. He spoke about the value of physical education and the role it plays in shaping young minds.

The programme concluded with a jumba dance performance which captured the eyes of the audience.

Sathvik and Aradhya proposed the vote of thanks as Dwani, Mashoora, Aysha Winora and Thanish compered the programme.
