Kundapur: MIT conducts Graduation Day for engineering students

Kundapur, Sep 11: MIT Kundapur conducted graduation ceremony for the 17th batch of engineering students on Sep 9.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Vinod John, vice president Hardware Engineering, Mirafra Technology Pvt Ltd, was the chief guest. Vinod John in his graduation day address advised the students to have smart goals and he opined that being honest, humble and hardworking is the key for the success. He told the students, “Your future accomplishments depend only on choices you make in the course of your life."

Speaking on the occasion, guest of honour, Sumanth Shetty, Founder and CEO of Odrio, advised the graduates to keep learning for a few more years to reach their goals. He wholeheartedly appreciated the commitment and hard work of MITK students employed in his company.

Dignitaries distributed the graduation certificates to the students and medals to the academic toppers in various branches.

Principal, Dr Abdul Kareem congratulated the students for obtaining the degree and told them to work hard and bring laurels to their parents, teachers and their Alma mater. He also lauded the efforts done by the visionary, founder, chairman, the late I M Jayaram Shetty and the present chairman Siddhartha J Shetty for providing a wonderful opportunity to study quality higher education to the students of rural areas who are from a very humble background. He also said that students from all the districts of Karnataka and students of other states are also pursuing their education at MITK.

Graduates administered the oath by the vice principal of MITK, Prof Melwin D'Souza, director, Brand Building, IMJ Institutions Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, convener of the programme and dean placement Prof Amruthamala, all the HODs, staff members, graduates and their parents were present on the occasion.

Prof Farana was the master of ceremony. Prof Shrinidhi N Introduced the guests. Prof Tilakalaxmi welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the national anthem.
