Chikkamagaluru, Sep 11: BJP leader, former union minister and president of Virat Hindustan Sangam, Dr Subramanian Swamy will be celebrating his 85th birthday on Sunday, September 15. The Virat Hindustan Sangam (VHS) will be organising an event at the holy town of Sringeri in Chikkamagaluru to celebrate his birthday in a grand manner.
Virat Hindustan Sangam (VHS) is planning a two-day event in Sringeri, the seat of Jagadguru Shankaracharya starting on Saturday, September 14. About 200 members and office bearers of VHS will assemble in Sringeri on Saturday and felicitate Dr Subramanian Swamy in a two-day event on September 14 and 15.
The two day VHS event will be held at Abhinava Kalyana Mantapa in Sringeri town. There are two session planned one on Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm and final one on Sunday from 9 am to 11 am. On Sunday morning, Dr Swamy will participate in some rituals and Homas planned on his birthday.
Dr Swamy will also address the VHS team on the occasion. On this occasion, Dr Swamy and VHS team will visit the temple of Sri Sharadamba in the morning to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
After visiting the deity, Dr Subramanian Swamy will visit the holy peeth and seek the blessings of senior pontiff Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidanam and junior pontiff Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekara Bharati Sannidanam.
Virat Hindustan Sangam (VHS) was founded by Dr Subramanian Swamy in 2014. More than 200 members and office bearers from different parts of the country (representing 13 states & UTs) are assembling in this temple town from September 13 to join the event.
Dr Swamy will be arriving in Mangaluru Airport on September 13 evening by flight from Delhi and stay overnight in Mangaluru. On September 14 at 8 am he will proceed to Sringeri and have a syop over at Karkala between 9 am and 9:30 am at Karkala Sri Dattatreya Mookambika Temple, Pattonjikatte. Later, he will proceed to Sringeri. He is expected to be in Sringeri from 11 am to 2 pm on September 15 and participate in various programs and rituals and seek blessings of Godess Sharadamba and the Shankaracharyas.
On Sunday at 3 pm, he will leave Sringeri to return to Mangaluru airport and take the 8 pm flight to Delhi.

VHS program features several experts like journalists, politicians, social activists, diplomats and economists, in its weekly episodes. The Sunday program is watched in more than 121 countries across the globe and has more than 1.3 lac subscribers and weekly viewership of more than 1 lac across all their channels.
