Mangaluru: St Aloysius ITI organizes Hyundai graduation programme

Mangaluru, Sep13: With the aim of providing the best training to the students at par with industrial standards, St Aloysius ITI has entered into collaboration ventures with various industries. One such tie-up is with M/s Hyundai Motor India Limited. The graduation ceremony for the 9th batch of students under this initiative was held on September 12 in the institution.

The beneficiaries of this tie-up initiative were the final year students of mechanic motor vehicle trade. Along with the regular curriculum, these students had to undergo training as per Hyundai curriculum. Completion certificates were issued to the students for the successful completion of the training and were honored by a graduation sash.

The programme commenced with a prayer song sung by electronic mechanic 1st year students.

Roshan D’Souza, principal; Noel Lobo, training officer and Alwyn Menezes, vice principal escorted the dignitaries to the dais.

P N Krishnan - senior manager, training, M/s Hyundai Motor India Ltd; Sunil Kumar - territory parts & service manager, SRO4 Region Karnataka, M/s Hyundai Motor India Ltd; Anand Kumar - general manager, M/s Advaith Hyundai; Aruna Poojary - training officer, M/s Advaith Hyundai and Sandesh S S - service head, M/s Kanchana Hyundai were the dignitaries for the programme.

Roshan D’Souza, principal of the institution welcomed the gathering.

The inauguration of the programme was done by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.

Speaking on the occasion P N Krishnan said, “It is just the beginning of your career. You have great opportunities waiting for you. Your hard focus, hard work and dedication will carve your career path. I hope to see you elevated to greater heights.”

Anand Kumar addressed the gathering saying, “Working is not a big thing, what you learn is important. At least 5 years you must work in any company so that you get ample training and experience. Don't forget the institution where you studied and your parents who have sacrificed for you. Discipline and dedication are very important.”

Job offer letters were distributed to the students by dealer representatives.

Robin Vas, convener of the programme proposed the vote of thanks and compered the event.
