Beltangady: Anugraha School hosts Prathibha Karanji competition

Beltangady, Sep 13: Anugraha school buzzed with excitement on Wednesday, September 11, as the school hosted, Kokkada zonal level Prathibha Karanji competitions. Over 500 students and staff from 27 schools participated in different competitions.

The programme began with a welcome dance and the event was inauguratedwith the lighting of the inaugural lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Fr Vijay Lobo, principal, welcomed the gathering. The BEO Tharakesari, in her speech, lauded the school for its beautiful arrangements and wished the students all the best.

The correspondent Fr Abel lobo said, "Each child is talented and God’s blessings help the children bring out their hidden talents.”

President of Ujire gram panchyat, Usha kiran Karanth, extended her support for all the activities of the school.

The principal, Fr Vijay Lobo thanked Umesh Shetty, vice president of PTA & the proprietor of Shri Durga Furniture and Harish Pai, proprietor of Sandhya Traders Ujire for the sponsorship of meals and breakfast.

Antony Fernandes, vice president of the parish council, Anil D’Souza, member of Ujire gram panchyat, Mohan Kumar BRC, and other departmental officials witnessed the programme. Arpitha proposed a vote of thanks and Ganesh compered the programme.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prathima CRP & ECO Chetanakshi, hailed the school for arranging a well organised programme.

Competitions such as speech, bhavageethe, gazal, janapadageethe, debate, quiz, rangoli, drawing, kawwali, dharmika patana, Jana pada dances were held.

Winners were awarded with certificates, medals and trophies.
