Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organises Charity Mission Week 2024

Mangaluru, Sep 14: Lourdes Central School, an abode of happiness, always believes in spreading love and happiness to the afflicted and the needy through gestures of sharing.

The festive season is always an invitation to share the joy with the less privileged and the school had organised LCS Charity Mission Week 2024 with a focus to teach every Lourdite to process the skills of Charity. The teachers were invited to highlight the values of sharing and caring, empathy, generosity, friendship and courtesy for 5 consecutive days and were asked to encourage the students to contribute for this noble cause every day. The charity mission week started on the September 2, inaugurated on the third of September and continued till September 6.

Every assembly, regular classes aimed at focusing the values of sharing, generosity, kindness, friendship thus bringing smiles on the faces of the less privileged and building a loving bond with the society.

Students from pre KG to class 12 brought in with great enthusiasm and a beaming smile on their face a variety of groceries, stationery items, sanitary items etc to donate them to the needy ones of Sneha Deep Ashram, Bejai Kapikad, Karunamayi Ashram, Mangaluru, Ashraya, Bejai, Mangaluru, Asha Jyothi (Chaithanya Home), Mangaluru and Little Sisters of Poor, Bajjodi, Mangaluru.

Every Lourdite, the staff, the parents and the students actively participated in this noble cause with great zeal, excitement, enthusiasm and love and proved that Godly giving is really investing.

The LCS Charity mission week was a successful event and it was a time of grace and blessings.
