Mangaluru: Two arrested for transporting beef in auto-rickshaw

Mangaluru, Sep 16: Mulky police have confiscated beef from four cows that were slaughtered in Padubidri and were being transported to a slaughterhouse in Katipalla via auto-rickshaw.

The police intercepted the auto-rickshaw at Haleyangadi after receiving a tip-off from the public. Sub-inspector Anita led the operation.

Two accused, Ismail and Nazeer, have been arrested.

Further investigation is ongoing.
