Moodbidri: Carmel school celebrates Hindi Diwas

Moodbidri, Sep 16: Carmel School, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm to highlight the importance of the Hindi language. The event was conducted by the students of grade 3 and began with a vibrant introduction by the masters of ceremony, Ravish, Raziel, Angel, and Dilara. Their coordination set a positive tone for the celebration.

The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service, followed by a welcome speech delivered by Noah, who warmly greeted everyone and shared his excitement for the occasion. The atmosphere was further energized with a captivating welcome dance performed by the students, reflecting the essence of the day.

Students from grade 3A then took the stage to explain the significance of Hindi Diwas, sharing insightful thoughts on the importance of Hindi as our national language and its role in unifying the country.

A skit was performed by the students, beautifully depicting a story that highlighted the relevance of Hindi in our everyday lives. This was followed by another lively dance performance, which kept the audience enthralled.

The guest of honour, Sandhya R Shenoy senior assistant teacher at Rotary English Medium school from past 26 years addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Hindi Diwas. She spoke about the beauty and richness of the Hindi language and its cultural significance. Mrs Shenoy also led the children in a delightful song, which they recited with actions, making it a joyful and interactive experience for all. Sr Maria Gracilda AC the principal, emphasized the significance of Hindi language and its importance in our lives. She also highlighted the value of knowing Kannada language, promoting linguistic diversity. She commended the students for their confident participation in the program. Various activities were conducted by grade I to III.

Grade 1: Conducted activities to gather and display objects related to 'Swar' and 'Vyanjan'.
Grade 2: Created posters on 'Swar' and 'Vyanjan' to showcase their understanding.
Grade 3: Prepared and recited 'Shaayari' (poems) in class, demonstrating their language skills.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Reola D’Souza, expressing gratitude to the teachers, participants, and attendees for making the event a success.

The celebration was a resounding success, filled with educational and entertaining performances, and it left everyone with a renewed appreciation for the Hindi language.
