Kasargod: Kayyar church CKYM celebrates Onam, Monthi Fest

Kasargod, Sep 16: The Christ King Youth Movement (CKYM) of Kayyar Christ the King Church celebrated Onam and Monthi Fest on Sunday with great enthusiasm.

The celebration began with a morning Mass offered by Fr Vincent D'Souza, director of CODP. Following the Mass, a stage programme was held at the Don Bosco auditorium, which was inaugurated by Fr Vincent D'Souza. Fr Vishal Moniz, parish priest of Christ the King Church, presided over the event. Lawyer M S Thomas D'Souza and ICYM central committee member Jasmita Monteiro attended as chief guests.

Also present were Roshan D'Souza, vice president of the Kayyar Church pastoral committee; Zeena D'Souza, secretary; CKYM whip Sr. Jasmine; vice whip Priyanka; CKYM president Preemal; and secretary Joyal Kishan.

The celebrations featured Tiruvadirakkali (a traditional dance), various sports activities, and an Onam Sadya (feast). St. Mary's Lizen, the pastoral committee, and other church organizations actively contributed to the event.
