Bantwal, Sep 16: Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) organized a protest, 'B C Road Chalo,' near the Rakteshwari temple on Monday morning.

At the start, activists broke through the police barricades and marched forward. A confrontation ensued between the police and the activists. Later, the police positioned buses across the road to block the protesters, who then raised slogans on the highway for some time.

Sharan Pumpwell, Punit Attavar, and others were present.

IGP Amit Singh, SP Yathish N, AC Harshavardhan, and Tahsildar Archana Bhat were at the scene. There was a heavy police presence at B C Road.

Prominent leaders of Hindu organizations, including Prasad Kumar Rai, Bhaskar Dharmasthala, Naveen Neriya, Bujanga Kulal, Gururaj Bantwal, Narasimha Mahesh, Krishna Prasad, Mithun Kalladka, Naveen Moodushedde, Sachin Melkar, Chennappa Kotian, Dinesh Amtoor, Sandesh Shetty, Govinda Prabhu, Purushotama Salian, and Ramdas Bantwal, were also present.
