Prasad Raj Kanchan criticizes Udupi MLA's statements about lack of funds

Media Release

Udupi, Sep 17: In a sharp rebuttal to MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Prasad Raj Kanchan criticized Suvarna’s recent statements about the lack of funds, calling them misleading and questioning Suvarna’s leadership.

"It does not reflect well on you as a legislator to make false claims about funds not being released while questioning the masculinity of others. The people of Udupi have elected you as their MLA. It is your duty to be the voice of the people and secure the necessary funds for development. Where is your leadership when you fail to bring in these grants?" Kanchan asked.

Kanchan further challenged Suvarna, pointing out that the BJP is in power at the centre and urging him to address long-standing issues such as the neglected Indrali road and the slow progress of the Santhekatte National Highway project.

"Instead of making divisive statements in a peaceful region like Udupi, focus on real development work. Stop making disrespectful remarks about the chief minister and other ministers. Your responsibility is to maintain harmony in the constituency while securing funds for its growth," Kanchan advised Suvarna.

This pointed response comes after Suvarna's controversial comments regarding fund allocations and leadership, which have sparked a debate in the region.
