Udupi: BJP Mahila Morcha celebrates PM Modi’s birthday, gives donations to State Women’s Home

Udupi, Sep 17: Udupi BJP Mahila Morcha donated essential items to the State Women’s Home under the Department of Women and Child Development, Udupi, on the occasion of the birthday of prime minister Narendra Modi.

Yashpal A Suvarna, MLA Udupi inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and presenting a washing machine to the women's shelter in memory of his parents.

The celebration continued with the distribution of sweets to the children of the Anganwadi centre and the Government Higher Primary School in Moodusagri, marking the occasion of Modi's birthday with joy.

The event was attended by BJP Mangaluru division in-charge K Uday Kumar Shetty, Udupi city president Dinesh Amin, district Mahila Morcha president Sandhya Ramesh, BJP Udupi city general secretary Rashmita B Shetty, vice president Dayashini, district Mahila Morcha former president Veena S Shetty, city municipal council member Bharathi Prashanth, city Mahila Morcha general secretary Saroja Shenoy, secretary Shanti Manoj, leaders Maya Kamath, Sujala Satish, Sudha Pai, Poornima Ratnakar, Suma Naik, Deepa Pai, Preeti, teachers, Anganwadi workers, and committee members of the Mahila Morcha.
